MOSES LAKE, Wash. —

Hydrogen in a sump exploded, causing the fire at the REC Silicon company in Moses Lake.

The company says the fire was contained to a small area Wednesday and extinguished in about two hours. No one was hurt, and no harmful chemicals were released in the air.

The Columbia Basin Herald reports the Moses Lake Fire Department assisted company firefighters by resupplying their breathing packs.

REC Silicon produces materials for electronics and solar panels.
