Kennewick ex-pastor arrested after missing court

A former Kennewick pastor may be on his way to prison soon for killing a 19-year-old bicyclist in 2003.

A former Kennewick pastor may be on his way to prison soon for killing a 19-year-old bicyclist in 2003.

Randall Foos was arrested Friday in Clark County, Nev., on a warrant for failing to appear for sentencing for a vehicular-homicide conviction. The warrant was issued Oct. 22, when Foos failed to show up in court after losing his latest appeal, said Benton County Deputy Prosecutor Terry Bloor.

Foos was sentenced in November 2006 to 15 months in prison in the death of Sara Casey and had been ordered to return to court to be sent to prison.

Foos was pastor of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Kennewick when he struck Casey with his Jeep Cherokee. Testimony at trial showed Foos had been diagnosed with three eye diseases and that it was likely his vision was seriously impaired at the time.
