WSU's Andy Mattingly has Indiana roots

Washington State linebacker Andy Mattingly spent part of his childhood in Indiana, and still has lots of family there.

SPOKANE, Wash. —

Washington State linebacker Andy Mattingly spent part of his childhood in Indiana, and still has lots of family there.

So playing No. 25 Notre Dame this Saturday is even more special to him.

Mattingly roots for Notre Dame most of the time. Except, of course, for this Saturday.

Even though the Cougars are nearly four touchdown underdogs, Mattingly says the team is excited to play the Irish.
