The body of a man in his 60s was pulled from Lake Sammamish this afternoon and King County sheriff's divers are now searching for evidence in the water, according to a Redmond police spokesman.
A woman who was standing on a dock belonging to a local condominium community called 911 around 11:45 a.m. today to report a body floating in the water, said Redmond police Lt. Charlie Gorman.
Redmond police and firefighters responded to the dock, in the 3800 block of West Lake Sammamish Way, and found "the subject in the water near the shoreline," Gorman said. It took about an hour to retrieve the man's body, he said.
There were no obvious signs that the man died as a result of homicidal violence, Gorman said.
"He's a white male, approximately 60 and he was fully clothed," Gorman said.
The King County Medical Examiner's Office has taken control of the body and may release the man's name and cause of death as early as Thursday, Gorman said.
