The National Weather Service says the latest storm blowing into the Northwest is expected to bring heavy rain to Western Washington and snow to Eastern Washington.

A flood watch is in effect today and Friday for the counties around Puget Sound and Grays Harbor County on the coast. The National Weather Service says heavy rain could fill rivers.

Forecasters say Eastern Washington could see its first significant snow of the season Thursday. A winter storm watch is in effect from Wenatchee to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
