Gonzaga's Few slams Washington proposal
Gonzaga coach Mark Few is also rejecting a proposal from the University of Washington that the teams resume their stalled rivalry with three straight games at KeyArena in Seattle.
The Associated Press
Gonzaga coach Mark Few is also rejecting a proposal from the University of Washington that the teams resume their stalled rivalry with three straight games at KeyArena in Seattle.
Few told SI.com that the chances of that happening are about the same as Big Foot bearing his child.
The Washington proposal, which was revealed on Wednesday, also was panned by Gonzaga athletic director Mike Roth.
Washington canceled what had become a wildly popular series in 2006, after losing eight of the previous nine games.
Few said he would only be interested in a home-and-home arrangement. High-profile programs like Memphis, Wake Forest, Michigan State and Xavier have such deals with Gonzaga.
