The FBI has taken custody of Michael John Fenter, 40, of Port Townsend, according to an FBI release. He had been arrested Oct. 8 after the robbery of a bank branch in Tacoma and was booked as John Doe when he refused to identify himself.

Port Townsend & Jefferson County Leader's Web site, ptleader.com CQ, reported Fenter had family ties to the Compass Rose Farm, which had a local reputation for teaching people about healthy living and farming. KING TV reports that Fenter is a well-known farmer from Port Townsend.
