Lane work, hunting season will slow I-90 pass traffic

The state Department of Transportation and its crews will continue work on Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass from Easton to the Cle Elum area (mileposts 70 to 80) this weekend.

The state Department of Transportation and its crews will continue work on Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass from Easton to the Cle Elum area (mileposts 70 to 80) this weekend.

Because of lane restrictions, plus the landslide closure of Highway 410 and the opening weekend of Washington's deer-hunting season, motorists should expect higher traffic volumes across the pass and up to 1 ½ hours additional travel time from Friday to Sunday, said the DOT.

From 9 a.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday, lane restrictions will be in place in both directions.
