The lights went out on most of Seattle's Queen Anne Hill and much of Magnolia on Sunday night, Seattle City Light said.

The power outage, which hit around 9:30 p.m., affected more than 7,000 residential and commercial customers, a spokesman said. The cause was a faulty cable. Officials said late last night that they did not know when power would be restored.
