Another Sound Transit and car collide on the light-rail tracks

Yet another car turning left across Sound Transit's light-rail tracks collided with a train early Sunday in Seattle.

Yet another car turning left across Sound Transit's light-rail tracks collided with a train early Sunday in Seattle.

No one was injured, Sound Transit spokesman Bruce Gray said.

The car and the last southbound train of the night both were southbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Way at South Walden Street about 1:10 a.m. when the car turned left in front of the train, Gray said.

Buses transported rail passengers to their destinations, he said, and the car was able to drive away.

The collision came less than 10 hours after another automobile making a left turn across the tracks collided with a train at MLK and South Kenyon Street.

There now have been four collisions between left-turning vehicles and trains since rail service began in July.
