PSE natural gas rates dropping 16 percent

OLYMPIA — State regulators have approved a 16 percent decrease in natural gas rates for customers of Puget Sound Energy because of lower wholesale prices.

OLYMPIA — State regulators have approved a 16 percent decrease in natural gas rates for customers of Puget Sound Energy because of lower wholesale prices.

The Utilities and Transportation Commission says today's action means the average residential bill will drop about $15 to about $78 a month, starting in October.

Bellevue-based PSE has nearly 750,000 natural gas customers in 11 counties.
