Oregon woman killed on Chehalis River gravel bar

OAKVILLE — A woman fell out of the back of a pickup and was run over and killed as it was driving on a gravel bar in the Chehalis River at Oakville.

OAKVILLE — A woman fell out of the back of a pickup truck and was run over and killed as it was driving on a gravel bar in the Chehalis River at Oakville.

The Grays Harbor sheriff's office says the 22-year-old from Albany, Ore., fell under the wheels and died at the scene about 2 a.m. today.

The driver is a 32-year-old Oakville man who has been arrested for investigation of vehicular homicide.

Deputies say alcohol was involved.
