Yakima gym teacher accused of sex with student

The Associated Press
A physical education teacher at Yakima's East Valley High School has been charged with having sex with one of her students.
Deputy Prosecutor Sam Chen told KAPP-TV that 31-year-old Michele Taylor was charged Wednesday with sexual misconduct and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.
A lawyer for the school district, Michael Patterson, says a student alerted the district in June and the sheriff's office began an investigation of Taylor, who was placed on administrative leave.
KAPP reports Taylor and her husband, who also is a physical education teacher in the district, are well known because they are the parents of triplets who were born prematurely and received community support.
