Referendum 71 confusion: What do "approve," "reject" mean?

Referendum 71 asks voters whether to approve or reject a recent bill expanding benefits for gay couples who are registered domestic partners. .

Referendum 71, now headed for the November ballot, will ask voters whether to approve or reject a bill passed by the Legislature last spring that expands benefits for gay couples who are registered domestic partners.

A vote to approve means you support the bill that expands the benefits.

A vote to reject means you oppose the expanded benefits.
