A Redmond police spokesman says three infants were sent to area hospitals as a precaution after an SUV crashed into a child care center located in an apartment complex in the east Seattle suburb.

REDMOND, Wash. —

A Redmond police spokesman says three infants were sent to area hospitals as a precaution after an SUV crashed into a child care center located in an apartment complex in the east Seattle suburb.

Lt. Charlie Gorman says none of the injuries appear to be serious. He says officers responding Monday afternoon found a Toyota RAV-4 halfway through an exterior wall and into a room of the child care center where seven infants between the ages of 3 months and 9 months were being cared for.

Gorman says the 45-year-old North Bend woman who was driving was not injured. The accident is under investigation.
