No entry fees this weekend at Mount Rainier, Olympic national parks

Entrance fees at national parks across the country, including Mount Rainier and Olympic, will be waived Saturday and Sunday. North Cascades National Park does not charge entrance fees.

Because of the high number of visitors to Mount Rainier, parking at Paradise and Longmire will be difficult to find.

Acting park Superintendent Randy King urges visitors to use the free shuttle bus that operates between Longmire and Paradise Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday and Sunday, a bus can be boarded outside the park at Whittaker Mountaineering on Highway Route 706. Shuttle information: nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/shuttle.htm.
