Seattle police arrested a man and a teenager on suspicion of drive-by shooting early Sunday morning after someone inside a South Park residence was struck by a bullet, according to a department spokesman.

Just after midnight, officers were called to a home in the 1000 block of South Sullivan Street, where they were told a white SUV had driven past and opened fire, said police spokesman Mark Jamieson.

At least one shot was fired into the house, hitting someone inside, said Jamieson, who did not know the age or gender of the victim.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, Jamieson said.

About 10 minutes after the 911 call, a man and a 16-year-old boy were stopped in the northbound lanes on Interstate 5 near milepost 162 and arrested, Jamieson said. A handgun was recovered, he said.

According to King County Jail records, four men were booked on investigation of assault and drive-by shooting.

The four were arrested at the same I-5 location and booked under the same case number, a jail official said.

The reason for the discrepancy could not immediately be determined.

Seattle gang-unit detectives are investigating.
