A 20-year-old man was taken into custody by Auburn police on Wednesday shortly after a holdup at the downtown Auburn branch of Key Bank.
Police said the robber had a note demanding money from a teller shortly before noon. He fled the bank on Auburn Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash. But officers spotted him in the area within minutes and gave chase. He was caught east of the downtown area, and the stolen money was recovered, police said.
