Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo is asking the public to vote on a name for one of two baby snow leopards.
Visitors to the zoo and to zoo.org can vote through Aug. 12. The zoo welcomed the twin boy and girl on Memorial Day.
The female cub has been named Batu (pronounced BAH-too), a Mongolian word meaning firm, hard and honest.
The male cub will be named Gobi (after the Gobi Desert); Boke (strong); Irbis (leopard); or Vachir (thunderbolt). All four names are Mongolian words.
The male's name will be announced at noon on Aug. 15, during the zoo's third annual Snow Leopard Day. The cubs will make their first public appearance at the event.
