Sandra Day O'Connor to speak in Seattle next month

Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor is coming to Seattle next month to give a speech about education.
O'Connor, who retired from the nation's highest court in 2008, is scheduled to present "Education: A Big Idea in Today's America" from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 14 at Town Hall Seattle.
Advance tickets will be required for seating and are limited to two per person. Free advance tickets will be available Monday from Brown Paper Tickets by calling 800-838-3006 or at www.brownpapertickets.com.
The program is being presented by the Seattle Public Library and The Elliott Bay Book Co.
