Death of man who jumped in front of light-rail train ruled suicide

The death of a man who jumped in front of a Sound Transit light-rail train Monday has been ruled a suicide, according to the King County Medical Examiner's Office.

The death of a man who jumped in front of a Sound Transit light-rail train Monday has been ruled a suicide, according to the King County Medical Examiner's Office.

The victim was identified as James J. Bohrer, 40.

Bohrer's death was the first fatality for the light-rail service, which opened July 18. Police say he went over a concrete barrier and jumped in front of a southbound train south of South Holgate Street in Seattle shortly before midnight Monday.
