Year's hottest weekend forecast for W. Washington

The National Weather Service says Western Washington will likely see the hottest temperatures of the year this weekend and into early next week.

SEATTLE —

The National Weather Service says Western Washington will likely see the hottest temperatures of the year this weekend and into early next week.

Forecasters expect highs in the 85-to-95-degree range even in normally cooler places near the water.

The dry spell also brings the risk of air stagnation and wildfire danger.

Forecasters say Eastern Washington will be even hotter with the high temperatures early next week into triple digits.
