Three arrested, one at large following Central Area shooting

Seattle Police have arrested two men and a 17-year-old boy, and were searching for another man Tuesday, after an incident in the Central Area Monday in which an officer shot a man police say tried to run over the officer with a stolen car.
The man was struck in the hand and was taken to Harborview Medical Center, officials say.
Police say the incident began about 5:16 p.m. at the parking lot of the Seven Stars Mini-Mart at 20th Avenue South and South Jackson Street after two patrol officers spotted a parked white Lexus 4-door sedan with license plates that didn't match it.
The officers approached the car, occupied by four male suspects "who were uncooperative and refused to obey the officers' commands," according to a news release from Seattle Police.
The release further stated that:
"The driver deliberately tried to run over the officers as he affected his escape. "One officer fired multiple rounds at the driver."
The driver sped off. Two blocks away, all four suspects jumped from the Lexus and ran, one dropping "a loaded handgun in the street." Police chased them, arresting three. The fourth got away.
As the unoccupied Lexus continued to travel westbound down South Jackson Street another officer drove his patrol car into it head-on to stop it, police said. That officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by fire medics.
Police officials have not identified the officer who fired the shots but say he has been placed on paid administrative leave — standard procedure while the department investigates an officer-involved shooting.
The three suspects who were arrested include two men, ages 28 and 31, and a 17-year-old boy, police spokesman Mark Jamieson said. All were booked into King County Jail for investigation of assaulting an officer.
The outstanding suspect is described as a man in his 30s, Jamieson said. Police do not know the man's identity, he added.
The shooting comes less than a week after Seattle police shot and wounded a bank robbery suspect after he drove a stolen pickup into a police cruiser. That shooting happened Wednesday evening near Greenwood Avenue North, Holman Road and North 105th Street
