Monte Cristo mountain climber killed in fall
A mountain climber died from a fall Sunday near Monte Cristo in eastern Snohomish County.
A mountain climber died from a fall Sunday near Monte Cristo in eastern Snohomish County.
A local ranger called 911 just after 5 p.m., after the victim's climbing partner reported the fall. Search-and-rescue workers were preparing to recover the victim's body Sunday evening.
Monte Cristo is off the Mountain Loop Highway east of Granite Falls.
Snohomish County officials had no additional information about the victim or the fall.
