$43M to finish housing projects

Washington, D.C.

The federal government is funding Washington state with $43 million to help finish affordable-housing projects that are currently stalled because of the economic recession, according to U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan.

The money will allow the Washington Housing Finance Commission to resume funding rental-housing projects in the state.
