Everett police arrested 10 men on Thursday for patronizing prostitution and other related crimes, authorities said today.
Two undercover women officers posed as decoys during the "john" sting, helping net all 10 suspects, who were cited and released on their promise to appear in court. All of the suspects have since been charged on prostitution-related crimes, authorities said.
Police worked the sting in several parts of the city, including the 1400 block of Broadway and both the 9100 block and the 11000 block of Evergreen Way.
Investigators chose the locations "based upon previous prostitution activities along with observations by citizens living in the area and information provided by patrol officers," according to a police news release.
Everett police said they plan additional prostitution stings this summer.
The sting is a reminder "to both johns and prostitutes that the person you are contacting on the street might be a cop," the news release said.
