Seattle port leader lauds Moses Lake improvements

Seattle Port Commission President Bill Bryant says his agency will benefit from rail and air service in Moses Lake.

MOSES LAKE, Wash. —

Seattle Port Commission President Bill Bryant says his agency will benefit from rail and air service in Moses Lake.

On a visit to central Washington, Bryant praised a plan to extend the Northern Columbia Basin Railroad Project and the renewal of passenger air service at Grant County International Airport.

He says both will help Seattle compete with the port of Prince Rupert, British Columbia, for cargo bound for central Washington and the midwestern U.S. Bryant says Midwest-bound cargo is a key target of recent expansion at the Canadian port.
