Bomb squad destroys toys sent to Connell prison

CONNELL, Franklin County - A State Patrol bomb squad destroyed two suspicious packages delivered to the Coyote Ridge Corrections Center.

CONNELL, Franklin County — A State Patrol bomb squad destroyed two suspicious packages delivered to the Coyote Ridge Corrections Center.

The Tri-City Herald reports X-rays revealed wiring and electronic components.

After the packages were destroyed, a spokeswoman for the Connell prison, Ruth Perkins, said they contained toys.

Inmates are not allowed to receive electronic toys.
