Fatal stabbing in Sultan

SULTAN, Snohomish County — Snohomish County investigators believe the stabbing death of a Lynnwood teen in Sultan was not a random attack.

SULTAN, Snohomish County — Snohomish County investigators believe the stabbing death of a Lynnwood teen in Sultan was not a random attack.

Lt. Jeff Brand says the attack occurred when the victim and a small group of people got into an argument. The group of people and the victim apparently knew each other.

Brand says deputies responded to a report of a disturbance about midnight Tuesday and found the teen down in the street near City Hall. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Rebecca Hover says detectives obtained a search warrant today for a Sultan home where they expected to find evidence.
