A disagreement over a boy left one teenage girl suffering from stab wounds and another behind bars in Bonney Lake.

Police were called to the 5300 block of South Island Drive just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday and found a 13-year-old girl with several stab wounds. She and several witnesses said a 15-year-old girl was responsible, police reported.

The victim and her friends had been walking down the street when the older girl came up and confronted the victim about a boy, police spokesman Daron Wolschleger said Monday.

Paramedics took the wounded girl to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and Health Center in Tacoma for treatment.

Officers found the older girl, who had reportedly fled, and arrested her without incident. Officers booked her into Remann Hall juvenile jail on suspicion of first-degree assault.
