A teenage boy drowned while swimming with two other teens in Lake Wilderness in Maple Valley, Wash.

MAPLE VALLEY, Wash. —

A teenage boy drowned while swimming with two other teens in Lake Wilderness in Maple Valley, Wash.

The King County Sheriff's Office says boy's body was recovered underwater by divers shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday. Paramedics performed CPR in an effort to revive him, but couldn't.

The sheriff's office told KIRO-TV that the three teens, about 18 years old, were swimming across the lake as evening fell. Two of the teens got out front and when they looked back for their companion had disappeared.

The victim's mother was on the scene during the search and recovery of her son's body.

The dead teen was not immediately identified.
