Seattle police arrested two men for investigation of malicious harassment and malicious mischief early Wednesday after they allegedly harassed a clerk and customers at a 7-Eleven store in Pinehurst and then broke a large storefront window.
Police said the incident occurred about 3:30 a.m. at the convenience store in the 12500 block of 15th Avenue Northeast. Two suspects, both 20, who had been loitering and harassing customers and the store's clerk, ignored several requests for them to leave, police said.
When the store clerk finally called 911, the men began yelling racial slurs at the clerk and then kicked and broke a large glass store window, police said.
Officers responded and arrested the two suspects, who were later booked into the King County Jail for investigation of malicious harassment, the state's version of hate crime, and malicious mischief charges.
