TV stations to run digital test today
Local TV stations will participate in a test run of the looming digital transition late this afternoon — an effort to remind people who have not prepared for the switch to get ready.
Local TV stations will participate in a test run of the looming digital transition late this afternoon — an effort to remind people who have not prepared for the switch to get ready.
At 5:28 p.m., all local TV network affiliates will — for one minute — broadcast digital signals only.
If you lose your signal during the test, you'll know you aren't ready for the DTV transition on June 12.
Viewers who are ready for the transition should experience no program interruption.
If you do lose your signal during the test and need help with the DTV transition, call the Reclaim the Media hotline at 206-508-1277; the Youth Media Institute/Youngstown Cultural Arts Center in West Seattle at 206-935-2999; or the Spanish-language DTV hotline at 206-988-3760.
