Multicar crash kills Renton woman, 56

A 56-year-old woman was killed after a pickup driven by a 21-year-old man crossed the center line and struck the vehicle in which she was a passenger, then struck a second one before stopping in the northbound lanes.

Renton police said the pickup was heading north on 108th Avenue Southeast near South 190th Street when it crossed into the south lanes of traffic shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday.

Police say the drivers of all three vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 21-year-old was booked into the Renton Jail for investigation of vehicular assault and vehicular homicide.
