Snohomish-area teen killed on motorcycle

A 16-year-old Snohomish-area boy was killed late Wednesday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a car in the 20400 block of 121st Avenue Southeast in unincorporated Snohomish.

A 16-year-old Snohomish-area boy was killed late Wednesday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a car in the 20400 block of 121st Avenue Southeast in unincorporated Snohomish.

The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office reported the youth was attempting to pass a vehicle in a no-passing zone when the vehicle made a left turn, leading to the collision shortly before 5 p.m. Investigating officers said the youth was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old woman, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

No identities were disclosed.
