Worker struck by locomotive, injured in tunnel project

A worker was injured Monday morning when he was struck by the locomotive of a train that carries equipment and employees through a tunnel being bored to carry treated water from the Brightwater sewage-treatment plant to Puget Sound.

Spokesmen for King County, which is building the treatment plant, said late Monday the worker was taken by ambulance to a hospital, but they didn't know how serious his injuries were.
