Everett firm fined for hazardous waste violations

The state Department of Ecology has fined an Everett metalworking firm $24,000 for failing to manage its hazardous waste.

SEATTLE —

The state Department of Ecology has fined an Everett metalworking firm $24,000 for failing to manage its hazardous waste.

Ecology officials say TC Systems had violations in 2007 and 2008, including allowing spilled compressor oil to enter soil and a storm drain.

The company has 30 days to appeal the fine.
