A woman accidentally backed a car over her passenger in a Federal Way parking lot Sunday, killing her, said Officer Raymond Bunk, spokesman for the Federal Way Police Department.

The driver is in her mid-80s, as was the woman with her. The dead woman's husband had not yet been notified, and the department was not releasing the name of the driver.

"It is just a tragic accident. There was nothing criminal involved whatsoever," Bunk said.

The accident took place in the lot of Top Food & Drug at 315 Pacific Highway S.
