Seattle Times staff reporter

A Metro bus driver accused of selling cocaine was charged today in King County Superior Court with five counts of drug dealing.

Ricky Beavers, 54, was arrested on Feb. 11 and later released on $50,000 bail.

According to court documents, a woman arrested for drug dealing agreed to help the King County Sheriff's Office investigate Beavers, her supplier in late January.

She purchased crack cocaine five times under the supervision of the Metro Transit street-crimes unit in the sheriff's office. The sales, which ranged from $60 to $120 for 0.7 to 1.5 grams of cocaine, took place at Beavers' house in south Seattle, in Tukwila and while he was driving his bus route.
