Seattle man ID'd in fatal fall from Vegas hotel

LAS VEGAS - The Clark County coroner says a man found dead after a fall from a window at a Las Vegas Strip hotel-casino was 21-year-old Jeffrey F. Kamota of Seattle.

LAS VEGAS — The Clark County coroner says a man found dead after a fall from a window at a Las Vegas Strip hotel-casino was 21-year-old Jeffrey F. Kamota of Seattle.

Las Vegas police Officer Barbara Morgan says Kamota's friend told investigators Kamota fell out the eighth-floor window at the Circus-Circus tower just after 3 a.m. Thursday.

Morgan says it appears Kamota's death was an accident.

A coroner's spokeswoman says a cause of death wasn't immediately determined.

Police Lt. Craig Clatt told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Kamota leaned out the window to smoke, and that alcohol may have been a factor.
