The taxi driver fatally injured on an icy overpass in the Burien area early Wednesday has been identified by the King County Medical Examiner's office as Getnet Endeshaw, 28, of SeaTac.

Endeshaw died after being struck by three vehicles after he got out of his car, which had spun around on the slick roadway on Highway 509 at South 128th Street shortly after 4 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident was one of more than 80 reported to the Washington State Patrol on the major highways of King County and Snohomish County between 4 and 9 a.m. Wednesday, as widespread ice made for treacherous driving.

According to KIRO-TV, Endeshaw leaves behind a wife and infant daughter.

Authorities this morning had not released the identity of a victim in another Wednesday fatality, a 35-year-old Kent man fatally injured just before 6 p.m. when his motorcycle struck the rear of a car while both were changing lanes on a ramp from eastbound Highway 518 to southbound Interstate 5 in the Tukwila area.
