Woman killed in I-5 wreck

Seattle Times staff and news services

A 26-year-old Auburn woman was killed early Saturday when the car in which she was riding left southbound Interstate 5 and hit some trees.

The State Patrol said the incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. near the I-5 interchange with Highway 18. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another occupant of the car, a 35-year-old Tacoma man, was taken to Harborview Medical Center with unspecified injuries. It wasn't immediately clear who was driving.
