Car-carrying truck collides with train in Kent

KENT — A car-carrier semi-truck has collided with a freight train at a crossing in Kent.

KENT — A car-carrier semi-truck has collided with a freight train at a crossing in Kent.

Fire Department spokesman Kyle Ohashi says the truck driver was not injured in the crash at 1:15 p.m. Friday, but at least two cars were thrown off the truck. One was dragged a quarter mile by the train.

Ohashi says as much as 200 gallons of diesel spilled from the truck. It has been contained and is being cleaned up.

Kent police and Burlington Northern Santa Fe are investigating
