A young man who spent nearly a year in jail awaiting trial in a fatal shooting at the Federal Way Transit Center was set free Thursday because surveillance video shows he was not the shooter, his attorney says.

A young man who spent nearly a year in jail awaiting trial in a fatal shooting at the Federal Way Transit Center was set free Thursday because surveillance video shows he was not the shooter, his attorney says.
Glenn Chaz Proctor, 21, of Tacoma, had been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 38-year-old White Center woman, Dar'Rel L. Miller. In court Thursday afternoon, King County prosecutors formally dismissed charges against him.
His defense lawyer says it took so long to dismiss the charge against Proctor because of delays in getting workable copies of the surveillance video.
