2 in court charged with WSU arson spree

Two man accused of setting a series of small fires at Washington State University are appearing in Whitman County Superior Court.

COLFAX, Wash. —

Two man accused of setting a series of small fires at Washington State University are appearing in Whitman County Superior Court.

If convicted of the arson and malicious mischief charges they face Friday, David Miner and Ian Copland could be sent to prison for years.

WSU expelled the two students after their arrest for the April 21 fires on the Pullman campus.

KRPL reports one of the fires was set at a dormitory complex with 900 students.
