What will it cost to board Sound Transit's light-rail trains? Depends on how far you ride.
The agency is proposing one-way fares that start at $1.75 or $2, up to a maximum $2.75 from downtown to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The Link line to Tukwila opens in July, with airport service to be added by December. One big question is whether to charge train fares in the downtown transit tunnel, where bus riders travel for free.
