Police are asking for the public's help in solving a series of robberies of espresso stands.

Six have occurred in South King County, one in Auburn and one in Kent, according to the King County Sheriff's Office. Four took place between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The robberies are believed to be the work of a single individual, whom police describe as a white male, 40-50, with grayish hair and bad teeth. The suspect demands money from the barista, police say, but generally doesn't brandish a weapon.

Police say the suspect drives a 2003 or 2004 Mitsubishi Montero Sport XLS that is red or maroon.

Anyone with information should contact the Sheriff's Office at 206-296-3311.
