Two suspects were arrested late Monday night in Ballard after a homeless man was stabbed once in the back during a fight over a beer, Seattle police reported.
Around 11:45 p.m., police were called to the 4600 block of Leary Way Northwest and found the victim, who said he had been stabbed in a vehicle that resembled an ambulance, police said. The victim, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was transported to an area hospital, police said.
Later that night, police found a car similar to the one described by the victim on the 1100 block of Ballard Avenue Northwest.
Police said they saw blood near the vehicle and inside they found two people who were "highly intoxicated" and living in "filthy" conditions. Police said that's when it became clear that a fight had erupted over the beer.
The two male suspects were booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
