Tacoma zoo closing some days to save money

The Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma will close on Tuesdays and Wednesday in January and February to cut costs.

TACOMA, Wash. —

The Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma will close on Tuesdays and Wednesday in January and February to cut costs.

The Tacoma News Tribune reports the zoo will be open every day this month except Christmas, and the annual Zoolights exhibit will be open every evening except Christmas Eve through Jan. 4.
