Suspect sought in fatal stabbing of Seattle woman

Police were searching Sunday night for the suspect in a fatal stabbing of a south Seattle woman.

Police were searching Sunday night for the suspect in a fatal stabbing of a South Seattle woman.

Seattle police officers responded to a call at 4:30 p.m. and found the woman dead at her home in the 7600 block of 46th Avenue South, said police spokesman Mark Jamieson.

Police did not release the names or other information about the victim or the suspect. Amber Campbell, a neighbor who publishes a local blog, said the victim had three children, ages 6, 13 and 15.

Campbell said she called police after coming outside her nearby house to find the children wailing in the street after discovering their mother's body inside their own home.

Campbell said that, according to the woman's children and other relatives gathered at the scene, the victim and her husband had been divorced for a year.
